Our initial consultation includes a comprehensive oral exam.
Your initial consultation enables us to examine your teeth and gums, learn about you, and build a comfortable rapport –– all before any work is done.

The initial consultation includes:
- An in-depth interview to assess your needs, desires, and history.
- A careful analysis of your teeth to check for decay and damaged fillings, and your gums to measure pocket depth in six different locations on each tooth.
- An oral cancer exam.
- A checkup on your jaw joints.
- An examination of your bite in all movements.
- A review of our findings.
- X-rays, if necessary.
For your initial consultation, please bring:
- Your completed health history form, if received in advance.
- Any X-rays, unless we’ve been able to request them from your previous dentist.
- Insurance information, unless we’ve been able to receive it in advance.
